I don't get to yard sales as much as the old days, but one Saturday
I did a u turn and snagged an awesome mahogany coffee table
for $6.00.
I took it home and spray painted it satin black.
I gave it a little distressing and put it in front of the chevron sofa.
but...It was kind of lost... |
The following weekend,
I went to a yard sale at our church.
I spied THIS mahogany coffee table.
AND I ALSO got this one, with a shelf!...
...for $6.00.
I took it home and of course....spray painted it satin black.
Two weekends, two coffee tables.
And in addition to being nearly identical in size and cost...
they both had something else in common.
They each came with a sheet of glass on top.
Temporarily, I put the glass aside.
....so I combined the two coffee tables.... |
But, as they say...
"I was not feelin' it."
....I decided to try the coffee tables as end tables....
my sofa arms are long and low...the perfect depth for
these tables...
Over the years,
I have accumulated an abundance of framed photos
I LOVE having Photos out
but eventually, as the photos multiply
and the kids grow...
they began to take over every surface in the house....
But with the new COFFEE/END tables...
I have a
CLUTTER
SOLUTION!
I took the favorite framed photos,
many now tucked away in drawers as I have
collected so many...
I removed the photos and lay them out on the coffee table.
Then I covered them with the glass...
INSTANT GALLERY!!!
AND ZERO CLUTTER!!!
I then repeated the process on the opposite side of the sofa...
VOILA!!!!
Clutter Buster!!!
total cost:
$12.00!!!
WHAT clutter busters have you come up with?
xo
Creative, innovative, and the perfect price!
